San Diego, CA, the site of this year's West Coast Interiors, is home to some of the most cutting-edge interior design in the nation. Like other regions around the US, competition on the West Coast is stiff-the San Diego chapter of ASID alone boasts more than 650 members-so the need for high-quality design education and business marketing skills is more urgent than ever. Designers and workrooms need the West Coast Interiors to help set their businesses apart. Held August 20-21, 2008 at the San Diego Convention Center, attendees will gain valuable insight in seminars and on the show floor, but they will also be inspired by the vitality of the design community in the region.
But while attendees will come to West Coast Interiors to educate themselves about the latest regional design and business trends, they should also take in the Southern California sights. Along the waterfront area of San Diego, the Gaslamp Quarter is the area's premier dining, shopping, and entertainment district, featuring a truly eclectic blend of food, fun, and culture all within the city's most historic area.
West Coast Interiors attendees can also wander around the lush and beautiful grounds of Balboa Park-the nation's largest urban cultural park. Home to 15 major museums, renowned performing arts venues, the exotic botanical gardens, and the San Diego Zoo, the park offers museum exhibitions, plays, musicals, and concerts.
